L.A.Trial First of Many Lawsuits Against Hip Maker
More than 10,000 lawsuits have been filed against a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson over an artificial hip that it has since taken off the market -- the DePuy Orthopaedics ASR metal hip. In other words, about one out of every three people who got one of these hips in the U.S. is suing. The first case to go to trial is underway in Los Angeles.
