More Californians Could Soon Buy Solar, Wind Power
Among the bills Governor Jerry Brown must consider in the next 28 days are some addressing gun control, migrant workers and renewable energy. One of the bills sitting on his desk would make solar and wind power easily available to millions of Californians.
Students Will Soon Face a More Difficult GED Exam
Thousands of adults in California and across the nation are racing to get their GEDs before the high school equivalency exam goes through a major transformation. On Jan. 1, the multi-part test will be more rigorous in an effort to better prepare adults for college and careers. The hitch is that anyone not finished with the current version by the end of the year will have to start all over.
