"Techno-utopia" is how author and tech reporter Ashlee Vance describes the often seemingly absurd claims being made in Silicon Valley, everything from how one click can save the world to the notion that we'll achieve everlasting life once we can upload our brains to the cloud. Vance recently wrote a book on Elon Musk, co-founder of PayPal and Tesla Motors and founder and CEO of SpaceX. Vance says he initially put Musk into the "techno-utopian" category. Now, he's singing a different tune.
