The Trump administration's hopes of new offshore oil drilling sites off the California coast and elsewhere may have dried up. In a series of obscure votes late last week House Democrats voted to take away all the money that would be in next year's Interior Department budget. This money would have funded lawyers or public meetings that are needed before you can lease these offshore areas to oil companies.
