Gov. Gavin Newsom signed an executive order that grants a reprieve to California’s 737 death row inmates.
It’s still up to the voters of California to fully repeal capital punishment in the state, but as long as Newsom is governor his executive moratorium that blocks executions will hold.
Unless the governor loses in court, of course.
Personally, I’ve always wondered how the state killing people will teach people that killing is wrong.
