SF Story Fest 2026
The oldest human art form returns to center stage.
KQED is partnering with Back Pocket Presents to bring you the return San Francisco Story Fest.
Set against the backdrop of a city shaped by reinvention, resistance, and radical imagination, this year’s festival gathers award-winning Bay Area journalists, comedians, filmmakers, dancers, and musicians for an evening of live storytelling that feels distinctly San Francisco.
The ways in which stories are told are as diverse as the stories themselves. From true crime to comedy, politics to poetics, Story Fest invites you to experience a brief and piercing look into the soul of the city.
What might you encounter? Inquiring minds would like to know.
About the Event:
San Francisco Story Fest is an annual celebration of the best stories from across the city on one stage. It’s a night of intimacy, humor, and surprise, as local reporters, artists, and neighbors share stories about the city we call home. It happens just once a year.
Who You’ll Hear From:
Journalists from KQED, KALW, SF Gate, and more will take the stage, alongside local artists and storytellers.
