Apparently the milk of both mountain lions and panthers is so rich and creamy that cheese mongers and yogurt makers alike will pay a very high price for it. But don't worry, those big cats aren't harmed in any way by this growing industry. Shot with tranquilizer pellets, the hunters simply milk the cats while they sleep and then carry off the milk before the cats awake in a type of milk and dash operation. From what I hear, mountain lion milk fetches up to $1,000 a gallon.

Fromage de Chat has also become quite popular in celebrity circles. Because most cat dairies use abandoned cats (thereby saving them from being killed in shelters), cat cheese has become the new celebrity food craze. According to a reliable source, it's the only cheese Bob Barker will eat and Pamela Anderson has even invested in a cat dairy in Calabasas Hills.
