Kishi Bashi’s (Kaoru Ishibashi) writes songs full of a yearning for connection. He plays violin and creates a lush electronics driven, orchestral sound, with lyrics about love and heartbreak, sometimes on a cosmic scale. It may sound mournful, but his concerts are a delight. He plays twice in the Bay Area; details here.
