Chief Operating Officer

DeLinda Mrowka is Chief Operating Officer at KQED. In this expansive role she is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of KQED.
Part of her role is to lead the areas that grow and deepen relationships with financial supporters. This includes membership, midlevel, major and planned giving, corporate sponsorship and foundations. Under her leadership in various roles at KQED, the station’s revenue teams have generated its highest overall revenue and experienced its greatest average number of members.
DeLinda also heads the teams that strengthen and expand awareness of KQED’s content and brand, including the areas of audience development and intelligence, marketing and the in-house agency KQED Creative. In recent years, KQED’s owned and third-party digital platforms have achieved significant growth.
Finally, DeLinda now leads program development for areas of content production, including Snap Studios, television, and areas of digital video. This includes supervision of the distribution platforms and production units that support content, such as television and radio broadcast engineering, television programming, media services and product.
DeLinda started her KQED career in 2013 as the station’s executive director of marketing and communications before being promoted across a range of positions. Throughout her tenure at KQED, she has shown a unique ability for assembling talented, results-oriented teams that work across the organization to help facilitate strategic goals.
DeLinda created an audience development team with expertise in social, email and digital fundraising, and an audience intelligence team that gathers, analyzes and delivers insights on how audiences and members are engaging with the station and platforms. She also conceived and launched KQED’s popular live events program KQED Live in 2021. This self-sustaining series has attracted a devoted and broad base of audiences and supporters, becoming a model for other organizations looking to establish their own in-person engagement programs.
Prior to joining KQED, DeLinda was executive director of the Public Awareness Initiative for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), senior director of marketing and media relations at WETA, and the director of business affairs for Oliver Productions. She is the vice chair of the Board of Directors of Greater Public, which supports public media organizations by ensuring a sustainable financial future.
