While school closures and coverage of the pandemic altered our plans to share student work on our airwaves, here we are showcasing stories produced by students in our participating classes, all offering a snapshot of teen life in today’s Bay Area. \u003c/span>\u003c/em>\u003c/p>\n\u003cp>\u003cstrong>Alina Jafri\u003c/strong> struggled to find fictional role models that looked like her until she found the comic book, \u003cem>Ms. Marvel, \u003c/em>about the Pakistani American, shapeshifting teen from Jersey City, New Jersey.\u003c/p>\n\u003cblockquote>\u003cp>\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400\">Even though I was much older when I discovered my “fictional role model,” it was the most incredible feeling. While school closures and coverage of the pandemic altered our plans to share student work on our airwaves, we’re showcasing stories produced by students in our participating classes here, all offering a snapshot of teen life in today’s Bay Area. \u003c/em>\u003c/span>\u003c/p>\n\u003cp>At age 5,\u003cstrong> Tashi Burke’s \u003c/strong>parents bought him his first drum set. While school closures and coverage of the pandemic altered our plans to share student work on our airwaves, here we are showcasing stories produced by students in our participating classes, all offering a snapshot of teen life in today’s Bay Area. \u003c/span>\u003c/em>\u003c/p>\n\u003cp>Reporter \u003cstrong>Emma Chiu\u003c/strong> produced a story about a group of student musicians who started playing jazz together in 2018. While school closures and coverage of the pandemic altered our plans to share student work on our airwaves, here we are showcasing stories produced by students in our participating classes, all offering a snapshot of teen life in today’s Bay Area. \u003c/span>\u003c/em>\u003c/p>\n\u003cp>Sophomore\u003cstrong> Julia Little\u003c/strong> has moved several times while growing up in a military household. In this \u003cem>Perspective\u003c/em> she shares the difference between what she considers a house and a home.\u003c/p>\n\u003cblockquote>\u003cp>\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400\">A house is just an object, a thing that provides shelter and necessities.
