Mendoza, a Sonoma native, earned his kitchen chops at acclaimed local restaurants Oso and El Molino. The dishes, which include not only tacos and burritos but housemade tamales, are all Mendoza's mother's recipes and are made from scratch. La Escondida is open for dinner and late night eats nightly in the Barking Dog Roasters parking lot at 18133 CA-12, Sonoma, visit on Facebook

Las Palmas Ranch, Sonoma (courtesy Sonoma Magazine)

Las Palmas Ranch, Sonoma: The Mexican food just keeps coming in Sonoma County and we have no complaints.
