"bio": "• I write and edit stories about how Silicon Valley power and policies shape everyday life in California. I’m also passionate about making Bay Area history and culture more accessible to a broad public. • I’ve been a journalist for most of my life, starting in high school with The Franklin Press in Los Angeles, where I grew up. While earning my first degree in English at UC Berkeley, I got my start in public radio at KALX-FM. After completing a second degree in journalism at Cal, I landed my first professional job at Marketplace, then moved on to KPCC (now LAist), and then KQED, where I hosted The California Report for more than seven years. • My reporting has appeared on NPR, The World, WBUR’s \u003ci>Here & Now\u003c/i>, and the BBC. I also guest host for KQED’s \u003ci>Forum\u003c/i>, as well as the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco. • I speak periodically on media, democracy and technology issues, and do voiceover work for documentaries and educational video projects. • Outside of the studio, you'll find me hiking Bay Area trails and whipping up Insta-ready meals in my kitchen. • I do not accept gifts, money, or favors from anyone connected to my reporting, I don't pay people for information, and I do not support or donate to political causes. • I strive to treat the people I report on with fairness, honesty, and respect. I also recognize there are often multiple sides to a story and work to verify information through multiple sources and documentation. If I get something wrong, I correct it.",

KDFC will become a non-profit and move from 102.1 FM down to the non-commercial neighborhood, at 89.9 and 90.3. As part of the Museum’s $19 million renovation, it also increased the size and technological scope of its conservation facilities and office spaces, as well as adding new education facilities and increasing the public spaces to include a 5,000 square foot lobby that houses an orientation theater, museum store and café. The Museum’s new facilities and exhibition program offer an accessible, multi-layered approach to storytelling that suits a variety of learning styles, both on-site and online. \u003c/p>\u003c/blockquote>\n\u003cp>San Jose Mercury News columnist Mike Cassidy, for one, is into it. He writes: \u003c/p>\n\u003cp>“We should all be happy. The renovated museum…will be a must-see for tourists, I think, while inspiring coming generations to take up the hard work of technology. If you can’t make it over the museum, at least make it over to the web site, which will soon be augmented into a destination befitting its topic, according to the museum, but is currently replete with interesting material, nonetheless. Hollar.\u003c/p>\n\u003cp>\u003c/p>\n\u003cp>Despite the unconscionable whitewashing of the chaos caused by one \u003ca href=\"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukeHdiszZmE\">rogue computer\u003c/a> in 2001, the expanded experience could make an exploratory trip well worth the proverbial while. As part of the Museum’s $19 million renovation, it also increased the size and technological scope of its conservation facilities and office spaces, as well as adding new education facilities and increasing the public spaces to include a 5,000 square foot lobby that houses an orientation theater, museum store and café. The Museum’s new facilities and exhibition program offer an accessible, multi-layered approach to storytelling that suits a variety of learning styles, both on-site and online. \u003c/p>\u003c/blockquote>\n\u003cp>San Jose Mercury News columnist Mike Cassidy, for one, is into it.
