Awards, Please! KQED's 'Check, Please! Bay Area' nominated for Regional Emmy® Awards

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – The San Francisco Northern California Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced that Check, Please! Bay Area and Cecilia Phillips, host of the video series Cecilia Tries It, are nominees for 2026 Regional Emmy® Awards.

Check, Please! Bay Area, which celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2025, was recognized for its special anniversary episode featuring former Golden State Warriors Festus Ezili, Trayce Jackson-Davis, and Adonal Foyle in the Talk Program Category.

Check, Please! Bay Area producer Cecilia Philiips was nominated in the Host Category for her work on the Check, Please! spinoff video series Cecilia Tries It.

Winners will be announced at a ceremony scheduled for August 22, 2026. A full list of San Francisco/Northern California Chapter Emmy® Awards nominees can be found here.
