But never have I seen a fan lose their mind quite so endearingly as Kana Matsuda, a girl who beat out 10,000 contestants for the chance to visit the Harry Potter set in the UK. Cameras from a Japanese comedy show captured her surprise meet-and-greet with Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint. She screams, makes animal birthing noises, and asks “Touch OK?” before poking her idols’ faces. Her honest insanity is so refreshing that I may or may not have watched this clip six times already. And I’m here to tell you: Wow, what a waste of time. Why the hell did I just do that?\u003c/p>\n\u003cp>Your generous KQED donation dollars at work, people!\u003c/p>\n\u003cp>Wait. I remember. I was trying to find something dumb and fun and locally relevant to suggest you watch with friends and alcohol over the coming long holiday weekend. And \u003ci>Mega Shark Vs. Giant Octopus\u003c/i> might just fit that bill, as long as you don’t skimp on the friends and the alcohol. Watching it alone and sober would be pretty depressing.\u003c/p>\n\u003cp>It stars a barely passable but pleasant enough Deborah Gibson (that’s what we call her now) and a pompous, pony-tailed Lorenzo Lamas, among others. The others include a mega shark and a giant octopus. It’s from a company known as The Asylum, which is also responsible for \u003ci>Transmorphers\u003c/i>, \u003ci>The Day the Earth Stopped\u003c/i> and \u003ci>Snakes on a Train\u003c/i>. “\u003ca href=\"http://www.film.com/features/story/snakes-train-i-am-omega/28659008\">Mockbusters\u003c/a>,” they’ve been called.
