This Car Had A Ghost…

I’m glad to be free of that CAR! I’m not saying it was haunted but it felt like our spirits just didn’t connect. It seemed fine at first, but when I brought the car home it was just a series of never-ending problems. It felt like this car transcended the laws of nature!
When I had finally had enough, I tried to sell it but no one would even look at it, so I donated it to KQED hoping I could do some good. I filled out the online form, set up a pick-up time, signed the papers over and gave away the keys to finally be free of it. Plus, I got a tax write off.
My next car was as advertised, no fuses popping, no hoses bursting, no lights burning out, no more fixit tickets! Just reliable, smooth driving.
Funny thing is I saw the CAR several months later with a new family driving as happy as can be… it really must have just been a problem with me. Was it possessed? Had a ghost been along for the ride? I did everything I could to take care of that car, but it led me down some strange troublesome roads. I’m so glad that car is no longer haunting me!
Is your car haunting you??? Donate it to KQED and listen to our collection of haunting stories from the Spooked podcast instead!

Buffer Night

One wrong turn leads Kyan and his friends to the most sinister encounter of their lives.
“Now, it’s the summer of 1996 and 15-year-old Kayin lives in the middle of nowhere, Arkansas. He’s too young to have a driver’s license, but he’s got something just as good. Friends named Paul and Taylor. Paul and Taylor can drive. Even better? They’ve got Taylor’s mom’s car for the weekend.
It’s summer. Nobody cares where we go. There’s no real expectations of you need to be home by this time because you’ve got school or anything like that or homework. And we decided, let’s do something bigger than just go to the mall…”
