KQED’s 2026 Voter Guide Breaks Down all of the Key Races on Bay Area Voters’ Ballots with Trustworthy and Non-partisan Analysis and Voter Resources

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Early voting for California’s November 3rd election has commenced. Here in the Bay Area voters will help decide a new state governor, three important Congressional races, and the fate of 14 statewide propositions with wide-ranging implications, including the Billionaire Wealth Tax, Voter ID and whether the state should speed up environmental review processes for development projects.

To provide voters with easy to access fact-based non-partisan context and information to help them along their deliberation process, KQED has launched the KQED 2026 Voter Guide. The free digital-only guide provides information on each of the statewide races and propositions, key races in each of the nine counties in the Bay Area, and handy FAQ all the information voters need to know about their voter registration status, how and where to vote in person and what to do if you make a mistake on your ballot.

KQED’s trusted team of political reporters and journalists interviewed candidates and researched the issues in order to empower voters with independent and non-partisan information so they can make informed decisions. Whether it’s finding out the gubernatorial candidates’ positions on affordability, healthcare, the Trump administration or taxes, or learning the local House candidates’ positions on AI, immigration enforcement and housing, the KQED 2026 Voter Guide has your needs covered. And this year, KQED has contacted every person running for school board to get their positions on cell phones in the classroom, charter schools, law enforcement officers on campus, and more.

Finally, after polls close on November 3, the Voter Guide site will provide up-to-date results as votes come in across the state and Bay Area.
