Fire Crews Battle Blaze in Oakland-Berkeley Hills
The vegetation fire that started just before noon Tuesday has spread a half acre and has impacted at least one structure.

A vegetation fire broke out in the Oakland-Berkeley Hills late Tuesday morning, according to Oakland fire officials.
The blaze started around 11:45 a.m. on the 1000 block of Panoramic Way, above UC Berkeley’s campus.
About a half-acre of vegetation had burned by 12:30 p.m., and at least 60 firefighters from departments across the East Bay, including Oakland and Berkeley, were on scene.
According to Oakland Fire Department spokesperson Michael Hunt, no injuries or fatalities have been reported, and no evacuations have been ordered.
One structure has been impacted, he said.
