Teachers from across California are converging on the State Capitol to call for money for public education. While today's rally will be a long drive for some, a lot of teachers in California have become accustomed to long commutes to their schools because they can't afford to live near where they work.

Governor Gavin Newsom has put an idea into his recent budget revision to help address this problem. Reporter Mackenzie Mays of POLITICO California Pro joins us to talk about it.
