State of Jefferson Movement Gains Steam in Northern California
“Calexit” is something we've heard bandied about in the past year or so; the suggestion that the state could take all its money and resources, leave the U.S., and do just fine on our own. But did you know there has long been interest among many of the state's northernmost residents in peeling off from California to create their own state? It would combe rural northern California counties with southern Oregon counties to form the State of Jefferson.
