When Claire Stapleton started working at Google in 2007 she was a true believer, becoming known as the “Bard of Google,” by spinning positive narratives of the company. But by 2018 she was so disillusioned by the company culture that she helped organize the company’s largest walkout to protest how Google handled sexual harassment cases.
