FAQs
How does rounding work to support KQED?
Each time you use your enrolled credit card, your purchase is rounded up to the next whole dollar. The extra cents from each transaction are tracked throughout the month. At the end of each month, the total of your roundups is charged to your card and donated to KQED to support our mission.
Will I be charged any fees?
No — there are no fees for you to participate. You’ll see one charge each month for the total of your accumulated roundups. If you opted in to donate a small additional amount to help cover credit card processing fees when you enrolled, your monthly donation will include your roundups plus that additional amount.
Which credit cards can I register?
You can enroll any U.S.-issued Visa or Mastercard credit card. To make the greatest impact, we recommend enrolling the credit card you use most frequently.
Is my credit card information secure?
Yes. All enrolled cards are tokenized and stored in a PCI Level 1 compliant vault, meeting the highest industry security standards required by Visa and Mastercard. Your card information is encrypted and anonymized upon enrollment to ensure your privacy and security.
Can I choose a minimum and maximum donation each month?
Yes. Just log in to your round for good account and you can edit or cancel your monthly giving.
