These feelings are important. We should process and not ignore them. But a break from feeling so much is healthy.

We all have our self-care regimens. I like to draw, sing Shania Twain ballads at karaoke, listen to funny podcasts, and -- perhaps most of all -- look at animated gifs of unlikely animal friends. If different species can put aside their differences (e.g. I want to eat you vs. I don't want you to eat me) and come together in harmony, then maybe there's hope for us humans? Please?
