Jerry Brown's decision to run for governor instead of seeking a second term as attorney general left the field for the state's chief law enforcer wide open. Seven Democrats are now vying for the party nomination for attorney general in the June primary. [Correction: In the original broadcast of this story, and in the archived version found here, we omitted the name of one of the candidates on the Democratic ballot. Mike Schmier is an employee- rights attorney from the Bay Area city of Emeryville. Schmier is opposed to California's three-strikes law and to the death penalty. He supports campaign finance reform, same-sex marriage, and legalizing cannabis.]
