Anyone with a TV is getting bombarded with campaign ads, especially by Republican gubernatorial candidates Meg Whitman and Steve Poizner. For Democrats, Election Day is something of a foregone conclusion, at least at the top of the ballot. Jerry Brown and Barbara Boxer are sure to be nominated for governor and the U.S. Senate, so most of the energy in this primary has been on the Republican side.
