Russian President Dmitry Medvedev touched down at SFO last night, kicking off his U.S. visit. In an evening reception with Governor Schwarzenegger, plans were announced for a trade mission to Russia to help facilitate business partnerships with Silicon Valley companies. Medvedev is eager to wean his country off its dependence on oil and gas profits by boosting Russia's tech industry. Today he'll tour California's technology hub, Silicon Valley.
