Oakland Prepares for Mehserle Sentencing
Oakland is bracing for possible protests later today over the case of Johannes Mehserle, who is due to be sentenced today in a Los Angeles courtroom.
Two Million Votes to Go
Three days after the election, it's still unclear who won in several key races. Elections officials say there are nearly 2 million votes yet to be counted across the state, many of them vote-by-mail ballots dropped off at polling places on Tuesday.
California Will Expand Medicaid Program
Earlier this week, the Obama administration approved a $10 billion plan to help California expand its Medicaid program. This will mean health insurance for about half a million people who don't currently have any coverage.
