If you took the trumpet of Louis Armstrong and mixed in a little New Orleans rhythm and blues, zydeco, soul and gospel, you might begin to capture the sound of the California Honeydrops. The band was born in Oakland three years ago and quickly developed a following for an infectious danceable sound. Earlier this week three of the four California Honeydrops dropped by to chat with Scott Shafer and play a few songs from their latest release, "Spreadin' Honey."
