In urban California, a lot of water goes to waste, taking pollution with it as it flows through the streets and then dumps into our coastal waters. That water is a resource if you capture it, and nothing captures water better than soil and vegetation. In Richmond, a non-profit called The Watershed Project recently teamed up with students to build what's called a "bio-swale."
