CA Redevelopment: Investment or Extravagance?
Governor Jerry Brown's budget plan is full of tough choices. One is a proposal to eliminate hundreds of redevelopment agencies. The governor says the funds are needed more desperately elsewhere in the budget, but many mayors and other local leaders protest that money is essential to promote economic development.
