Street Medicine in Santa Barbara

Many homeless people cycle between the streets and the emergency room. It doesn't make much sense from a policy perspective, and it results in great human suffering. There's a group of volunteers in Santa Barbara taking health care to the streets. A couple notes before we begin -- we were asked to change the patients' names to protect their privacy, and the story contains some pretty graphic descriptions.
