In the late 1990s, the retro style and sounds of swing were everywhere, with the film "Swingers," the Gap ad featuring the Louis Prima hit "Jump, Jive & Wail," and music videos of Brian Setzer, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and the Squirrel Nut Zippers playing on MTV. The fad has faded somewhat, but die-hards are still tearing up dance floors all over California. Roger Rudick visited Lindy Groove, a modern swing dance club that meets every Thursday night at the old Masonic Temple in Pasadena.
