For Californians who buy organic milk, Clover Stornetta is a familiar name. But behind the happy cow on the cartons, dissension has been brewing in the firm's herd of organic milk producers. Ten of its 15 dairy farmers have announced they're quitting Clover and taking up with an organic milk giant from Wisconsin.
