Anyone heading to Yosemite this summer can expect long lines of cars and plenty of camping restrictions. It wasn't always that way. In the early 20th century, cars were encouraged, campers sprawled out in the meadows and giant streaks of fire fell from the granite cliffs. A new Yosemite Valley Museum exhibit showcases that era.
