Jobs is being remembered throughout the world as a technology and design visionary, and the leader of one of the most profitable companies in the world. But he was also the quintessential California dreamer -- a San Francisco-born counterculture icon who reshaped the whole idea of the Silicon Valley executive.
New Tactic in Federal Fight on Medical Marijuana
A judge shut down nine medical marijuana dispensaries in San Diego yesterday, ruling that they violate city zoning laws. Meanwhile, the federal government is intensifying its efforts to smother the pot industry across the rest of California, by targeting not only dispensaries and growers, but also those who do business with them.
