The California Department of Education has a site up at which you can retrieve student dropout information released by the state yesterday.

Using a series of drop-down menus, you can choose to view data by county, district, or school, then by grade, ethnicity, and gender.

For example, here's the data for male dropouts in San Francisco, arranged by ethnicity. And here's the data for Alameda and Santa Clara counties.

Make sure you choose "Dropouts" in the drop-down menu in the second step on this screen.
