For Central Valley Families, Air Quality Info Can be Confusing, Hard to Find
The San Joaquin Valley has some of the smoggiest air in the nation. It's also home to some of the highest childhood asthma rates. For parents, it can be hard to know when it's safe for their kids to play outside. Air quality activists say that's because local regulators don't issue effective public health warnings.
