Few bands epitomize '80s excess like Pasadena-based Van Halen. This month, Van Halen put out its first album with original vocalist David Lee Roth in almost 30 years. Much of it is based on unreleased songs the band debuted at backyard parties and seedy clubs, even a bar at the Pasadena Hilton in 1975.
