Southern California seems to have escaped the winter with no devastating landslides. But some coastal Southlanders live with moving earth almost on a daily basis -- a problem likely to be compounded by the rising seas and more extreme weather of a changing climate. The shifting Palos Verdes Peninsula may provide a preview of things to come for the California coast.
