Infected Lemon Tree Could Be First of Many

Citrus greening, a plant disease that turns fruit into small, bitter lumps and kills every tree it infects, has already ravaged Florida's citrus groves. Now scientists have identified an infected lemon pomelo tree in Los Angeles County. With California's $2 billion citrus industry on the line, regulators have established an agricultural quarantine in the area.
