Officials Look Ahead to 2013 High School Exit Exams
As we kick off the new school year, education officials in Sacramento are already thinking about graduation. On Wednesday, the State Department of Education released results of last year's California High School Exit Exams -- and officials are looking forward to even better performance on this year's test.

In 'Crowdfunding,' Money Trail is Murky
Recent successes in raising money on the Internet are making "crowdfunding" look like a real alternative to the old ways of getting startup money. On the popular crowdfunding site Kickstarter, entrepreneurs are now promising products not even made yet in exchange for financial backing. But, as Kickstarter's founder admits, it's not clear what happens to the money if and when entrepreneurs fail to deliver.
