Bill Requires Doctors' Visit to Opt-Out of Vaccinations

Childhood vaccinations are part of the back-to-school ritual -- except for parents who want to forgo the vaccinations for religious or health reasons. Until now, they could simply file a statement with their school. But this week, the Senate passed AB 2109, requiring parents who wish to opt-out to meet with a health care provider to talk about risks and benefits of vaccines.
