Is 'Three Strikes' Law Too Harsh in California?
California's "Three Strikes" law allows prosecutors to seek a life sentence for repeat offenders, even if that offender's third strike is a relatively minor felony. Proposition 36 seeks to change that, but some law enforcement officials believe the law works as is.
