Calif. Caught in Solar Panel Trade War
China is the world's biggest producer of solar panels -- but very few are installed there. Many end up on rooftops here in California. Last week, U.S. trade officials authorized sanctions against China for dumping solar components on the American market below cost. Cheap solar has been good for California consumers, but bad for the state's own makers of solar energy hardware.
