Update: Doh! Siddharth Kulkarni from Chaboya Middle School in San Jose just went down in the Scripps National Spelling Bee semifinals on Liederkranz. He spelled it Liederkrantz, with a t.

According to Wikipedia, Liederkranz is "an American re-creation of Limburger cheese, made subtly different by the use of a different bacterial culture for smear-ripening."

And from now on, it will be spelled in the Kulkarni household like this:

Liederkranz!!!
