While the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles are both home to large and impressive jazz communities, there's a lot less traffic between the scenes than you might expect. A new album by Sacramento guitarist Ross Hammond bridges that musical divide, according to The California Report's jazz critic Andrew Gilbert.
