Trafficking in nickels and dimes may not seem profitable. But people from out of state are bringing recyclable cans and bottles into California by the truckload to earn the bottle deposit on top of the price for scrap. Officials at the state program Cal Recycle say this could eventually dry up the recycling fund. We hear about an effort to contain recycling fraud.
