A number of people are asking why Sen. Ron Calderon is being shown the door while Sen. Roderick Wright is not, even though the latter was convicted last month of eight felonies. Wright's convictions included perjury and voter fraud for claiming to live in Inglewood while really living elsewhere. State Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg says he wants to wait for a trial judge to validate Wright's conviction, and that he considers Calderon's alleged violations to be more serious.
