There's nothing new or especially shocking about corruption in politics. But FBI charges this week against State Senator Leland Yee of San Francisco took things to a whole new level. The allegations are that Yee hooked up with a notorious Chinatown gangster taking campaign cash from undercover FBI agents in exchange for political favors, while also conspiring to traffic in weapons, including shoulder-fired rockets and assault rifles.
