Court: L.A. County Liable for Polluted Runoff
The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to take up an appeals court ruling that found Los Angeles County liable for the flow of polluted storm water into local waterways. It's a big win for environmentalists. But despite the ruling, a cleanup plan could be some time in coming.
California Dominates 2014 'Food Oscars'

San Francisco Moves Toward Increased Regulation of Airbnb
San Francisco may be the birthplace of the "sharing economy," but now it's at the forefront of efforts to rein-in the revolution. The city's board of supervisors is considering new regulations on short-term apartment rentals -- and a measure that may be on San Francisco's November ballot would make it even tougher for people to use companies like Airbnb to rent out residential property.
