While the state legislature is taking a summer break, some Democratic lawmakers are in Central America on a 10 day visit to El Salvador, Guatemala and Panama. They planned the trip months ago, but now their timing couldn't seem more relevant as the national conversation about illegal immigration has taken on new urgency.
